The River Center

The River Center exists to see people encounter, connect and serve Jesus in life, community and the world.

 Who we Are

The River Center is a church committed to becoming the kind of community described in the New Testament- a people of authentic relationships, heart-felt worship, and relevant teaching; a people who are responsive to the Holy Spirit and compassionate towards others.

 Three things we deliberately communicate here at the River Center: Jesus, Community and Mission.

It is important that Jesus is clearly seen in everything we do or I’d say it this way, “We talk about Jesus all the time”.  He is the Senior Pastor of this church and what we do is subject to Him. When we talk about grace we’re not talking about a subject but rather a person (Jesus).  Grace isn’t an add-on to what we do but rather it’s a thread that runs through all we do.

1. We are a church community living within our local community.  When these two communities collide change in inevitable.  It is our desire to bring these two communities together.  One of the ways we have done this is through partnering with the Chamber of Commerce.  It has been an honor hosting the Biz Expo, DSA Banquet, Economic Summit and other community events.
2. The River Center is a missional church.  A church that sees itself on mission to fulfill its purpose in its city, its nation and the world.  To be missional one must be aware of its culture and surroundings, being flexible with methodology or philosophy allow us to present a relevant message of grace and hope.
